Coop & Crop started as a simple curiosity.
One night, I saved seeds from a bell pepper while making dinner and wondered if they’d grow. They did. All of them. Suddenly I had 72 tiny plants on my kitchen table and a brand-new sense of responsibility. That small experiment turned into a garden, which turned into letting my daughter talk me into chickens, and eventually into a whole collection of backyard projects, ideas, and ongoing experiments.
This site is a home for all of that.
Coop & Crop is where I share stories from my garden, life with chickens, and the many little projects that come from loving to build things, grow things, and try things — even when I don’t fully know what I’m doing yet. Some projects work. Some don’t. All of them teach me something.
You’ll find garden notes, chicken stories, small DIY builds, and the occasional bigger experiment — all rooted in the idea of learning by doing and growing where we are.
I’m not here to pretend I have it all figured out. I’m here to document the process, the progress, the mistakes, and the small wins. Coop & Crop is part backyard, part workshop, part journal — and always a work in progress.
If you like slow projects, small experiments, and the kind of life that’s built one curious idea at a time, you’re in the right place.
Welcome to Coop & Crop. Let’s grow something together.
